Get your HeroCamper ready for the upcoming season

Whether retrieving your HeroCamper from winter storage or using it during the colder months, it's important to prepare it before embarking on new adventures.

Find below an overview of the essential steps and helpful tips to help you get started.

Exterior wash

Ensure your camper gets a thorough exterior cleanse with a neutral shampoo, such as Soft99 Neutral Shampoo recommended product from HeroCamper. Begin by rinsing the vehicle with water to eliminate any loose debris and tiny pebbles. Proceed to wash the entire camper, ideally with a foam lance. Afterward, make sure to rinse off all suds and dry off with a microfiber cloth (Würth Microfiber Cloths are highly recommended).

Polishing

In case your camper requires additional attention and you desire to restore its shine, polishing is a good option. We suggest using Rupes D-A Coarse Polish along with the Coarse Wool Polishing Pad.

For extended durability, apply Soft99 Fusso Wax Coat Light Color or Dark Color after polishing for extra shielding and shine.

Inspect condition of tires, lights & indicators

When examining your camper, remember to also inspect the tires. Make sure the tread depth is at least 1.6 mm and check the tire pressure as well. It is important to note that tires older than 5 years do not meet the requirements for Tempo100 in Denmark or Germany.

Ensure proper functioning of all exterior lights and indicators.

Get your awning, kitchen tent, and rooftop tent ready for use

We suggest assembling your awning, kitchen tent, and rooftop tent (if applicable) to ensure they are all in good condition and free of any mold or mildew.

Inspect for dampness and ventilate the inside

If your HeroCamper has been in storage during the winter season, be sure to inspect for indications of moisture. In the event that you come across any, we suggest utilizing a moisture absorber. Additionally, thoroughly airing out the camper is highly recommended as a way to refresh it.

Test interior features

Ensure all lights are switched on and test the functionality of your heater. Check the voltage of your LFP battery. In case you neglected to turn off the system in winter, the battery may be completely drained. We suggest giving it a boost charge. If the voltage does not rise, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and schedule a service appointment.

Kitchen check

As you inspect the water tank, take a moment to thoroughly rinse it. Consider using a specialized cleaner to ensure freshness and safety. Also, check the cooler for any signs of mold or mildew and clean it if necessary.

To spruce up your kitchen countertop, we suggest using Würth Stainless Steel Spray and a Würth Microfiber Cloth. In case of noticeable scratches or blemishes, opt for Rupes D-A Coarse Polish and the Intermediate Foam Pad to restore its appearance.
